Welcome. New Year, New Domain!

If you’re reading this, you have probably been redirected here from my Blogger site. I figured it was time for a change this year.

You may have noticed that I haven’t been blogging lately. I was simply, uninspired. And that’s because I have been going through a bit of anime burnout. And you know, when you’re tired of something, you have no energy to see it, let alone write about it. So I spent some time away from blogging and moderated the amount of anime that I watched. Over time, I watched less and less animation and turned my attention to other things, until I slowly began to regain the energy that made me miss anime once more. And writing. However, returning to Blogger, I noticed various inconsistencies within the format that it became harder and harder to properly edit my theme. Certain features would disappear and I believe it had to do with the numerous amount of tweaking I would do to my theme. And because I refused to deal with all that, I turned to WordPress. Even though WP themes are a lot more limited when it comes to editing, they are a lot crisper and fresh. I’m not looking for an ultra fancy theme or anything like that. For now, I’m happy with my current theme. My only complaint would be the shorter width of the sidebar, since I tried to personalize it to look the same as my last blog. But other than that, the format is great. Plus, it has rotating banners. :)

Can’t wait to start posting from here on out. Thanks for stopping by!

Quick Update!

Hello there! I would just like to explain a few changes to my blog. Instead of keeping you wondering, I thought it would be best to clear any assumptions you may have.

On the sidebar to your right you may have noticed that I narrowed down my categories and replaced them with new features. I chose the three most popular categories. Everything else, you can find under tags. I also added a Google+ followers feature and removed my MAL link, but you can find that link and any further links in my about page. As for any other thing that seems to be missing, it has probably been moved to the bottom. I rearranged a couple of things down there and removed my RSS feed. You can locate another link to my RSS in the sidebar to your right.

Lastly, the biggest change was removing my “current series” page. Trying to keep it up to date was a honing process for me(html-wise), so I removed it. Once again, my MAL link will be in my about page. Plus, I started that page to help my episodic blogging that I don’t do anymore, so there’s that. And if it’s not too much trouble, would you give me some feedback on the video player in the sidebar to your right? Is it too small? Does the video play for you? If not, so I can dedicate the time to fixing it. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

12 New Year Resolutions

With 2012 coming to a close, I thought it would be appropriate to share with you guys a few of my wishes for the upcoming new year. Let’s approach this year with happy thoughts and feelings!

I don’t know about you guys but, in my family, during the remaining 12 seconds of the new year countdown, we eat one grape every second, while making a wish with each one. It is a Spanish tradition. But they are new year resolutions, no less. Although, I have no idea why it is 12 and not 10. Maybe one wish represents each month of the year? Idk. This year, I have decided to approach my new year a little differently and have chosen to include something that is now big in my life: Anime.
Four wishes will be dedicated to my anime life. Another four wishes will be dedicated to my blogging life. And the last remaining four wishes will be dedicated to my personal life.
Anime Life: I wish . . .
  1. To only watch what I want to watch and not feel pressured.
  2. To support the anime industry and put in my share of dough.
  3. To buy my first nendoroid^^ Preferably a Hatsune Miku one. They are so expensive orz.
  4. To attend AX this summer 2013~! Again :)
Blogging Life:
  1. To be more active in the aniblogsphere community. (Posting comments, Twitter, Google+, etc.)
  2. To publish more [full] anime reviews in my blog – something I could do more of.
  3. To blog for myself and for my love for anime over everything else.
  4. To clear my backlog XD.
Personal Life:
  1. For health – for me, for my family, my friends, and all anime fans. ;)
  2. To better manage my time. College is my top priority and there is always room for improvement.
  3. To become less dependent and more independent.
  4. To become more sociable/outgoing. It wouldn’t hurt. Wouldn’t hurt at all.
Yes, those are my wishes for the upcoming new year. I would love to hear your resolutions, if you have any. I can only hope that they all come true and hopefully by putting them out there, you will feel more inclined to accomplish them. (Darn. I just thought about a podcast and how I would love to participate in one. I guess that can be a part of my number 1 for blogging life).
Before bidding farewell, I would like to give you guys a little update of what to expect in the next few days because I will be putting blogging “on-hold” during the new year celebrations. After that, I will continue with my weekly blogging schedule starting with my final impressions on Jormungand and Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun – so sad that they ended, Bleach manga posts – I have 3 chapters to cover, and Shinsekai yori – I’ve got a lot of catching up to do with that one, but I’ll just summarize all of my thoughts into one post. Oh, and my Madoka movies post. Yes, that too. Plus a new about page. This one is getting old. :P But how about I leave you with some Shinsekai yori news today >> link here.
Have a happy new year!

Going on a Trip

It’s time to pack~! I will be embarking on my summer trip this year, but I’LL BE BACK!

Yep, this trip will keep me from aniblogging for a while. In the meantime, won’t you all enjoy this summer’s anime on my part? Please do. I’ll be back by this September just in time for school. I’ll try to update whenever I can, although it won’t be frequently. Since I will be residing overseas for a bit, I cannot guarantee having internet connection at all times. There will be a terrible lack of anime in my life for two whole months . . . it pains me to think about it. And unless I get a reliable internet connection, I might just die! D: (HAHA).
Oh, and check out my AX post here in case you haven’t already. :)
So this video fits in rather nicely . . . (be sure the captions are on).
